Get Your Home Spring Ready

The cold winter days are gradually fading away and it’s time to welcome the freshness and vibrancy of spring into your home!  I’m always excited to create spaces that reflect the upcoming season.  It’s a great time of year to start thinking about refreshing, repurposing, and clearing out the old to make way for the new. Before we know it, Spring will be here, and I know that I am ready to enjoy the fresh air and warm weather that allows us to open the windows or sit outside on a sunny day.  It’s perfect weather to add some lighter feels around the house too!

Embrace Lighter Textiles and Fabrics

One of the easiest ways to transition your home for spring is by swapping out heavy winter fabrics for lighter, breezier options. Consider replacing your thick curtains with sheer drapes to allow more natural light to filter in, creating an airy and bright atmosphere. Opt for lightweight throws and cushions in pastel shades or floral prints to add a touch of springtime charm to your living spaces.

Declutter and Organize

As you bid farewell to winter, take the opportunity to declutter and streamline your living spaces. Clear out any unnecessary clutter and organize your belongings to create a sense of openness and serenity in your home. Invest in stylish storage solutions such as woven baskets or decorative boxes to keep everyday essentials neatly tucked away while adding a touch of visual interest to your decor.

 Add Pops of Color

Infuse your home with the vibrant hues of spring by incorporating pops of color throughout your decor. Whether it’s through artwork, accent furniture, or decorative accessories, don’t be afraid to experiment with cheerful shades like sunny yellows, soft greens, and lively blues. These lively colors can instantly uplift your mood and breathe new life into your interiors, echoing the blossoming beauty of the season.

Bring the Outdoors In

Celebrate the natural beauty of spring by incorporating elements from the outdoors into your home decor. Fresh flowers (it’s the best time of the year!) and potted plants not only add a burst of color but also infuse your space with a refreshing fragrance and a sense of vitality. Consider creating a botanical display on your windowsill or adding a statement plant as a focal point in your living room to create a seamless connection with nature indoors. You can even break down larger bouquets of flowers into smaller bundles so that you can place them throughout your home.

Refresh Your Outdoor Spaces

Time to start clearing the patio of old leaves and pulling out the patio furniture! Invest in comfortable outdoor furniture, add colorful cushions, and throw pillows, and set the stage for al fresco dining and entertaining.  Incorporate ambient lighting such as string lights or lanterns to create a cozy atmosphere for enjoying those balmy spring evenings outdoors.
