Each year, the Interwoven Textile Fair in High Point, North Carolina offers an inspiring look into the future of interior design. This is done through the lens of fabric, pattern, and innovation. This year was no exception. The 2025 show was a celebration of bold creativity, tactile storytelling, and an exciting return to layered, expressive design.
From the moment I stepped onto the showroom floor, I was met with rich tapestries of texture and color. The fair pulsed with artistic energy—wall-to-wall displays of woven wonders, printed brilliance, and dimensional weaves. All of these elements beckoned to be touched, studied, and imagined within interiors of the future.
One of my favorite takeaways was the beautifully curated vision boards. They showcased fabric swatches clipped alongside fashion references and interior vignettes. There was a clear narrative forming. Notably, it included a shift toward grounded earth tones, combined with tribal patterns, heritage motifs, and, perhaps most intriguingly, unexpected pairings—such as geometric plaids with painterly florals.

Among the standout themes was “Familiar Fascination”. This was a concept board that blended classical influence with atmospheric charm. Think old-world tapestries, butterfly-wing overlays, and rooms steeped in mystery and mood. It reminded me just how impactful narrative can be in the home. It showed how deeply texture and history can stir the senses.
This year’s textiles embraced variety. I saw playful, exuberant color stories—like high-contrast stripes, vibrant geometrics, and painterly brushstrokes. These lived right beside more delicate, romantic palettes of dusty blues, florals, and antique patterns. The fair wasn’t about trends in the traditional sense. Rather, it was about options, layers, and the joy of customization.
Whether you’re drawn to nostalgic patterns or bold, modern prints, this year’s fair clearly showed that textiles aren’t just accents—they’re center stage. They are the storytellers. Every bolt and swatch felt like an invitation to explore new combinations. These help in building soulful, personal interiors.
If you’re a designer, maker, or simply a lover of all things beautiful, I highly recommend making the trip. There’s no substitute for seeing these creations in person. You can dream up your next design with fabric in hand. The next Interwoven Textile Fair is taking place November 18th – 20th 2025!
