This was a fun project for a young growing family moving out of the city into their first home with small children and lots more space than they ever had.  They wanted to incorporate some existing pieces but also needed lots of new furniture.  They love to entertain, and with this new bigger home that had plenty of space to do that, we took that into account with the room layouts and assigned areas where they and their house guests could sneak away for a quiet spot to rest and relax.  They both love the color blue, so I used that in several different ways throughout the home; we also had fun with the unexpected by painting the walls in their dining room black and showcasing some of their favorite photographs of historical landmarks in Madrid, Spain where they lived after they were newly married.
