Libby's Easy, Elegant, Everyday Style
Haut Design in High Point, NC
This was a fun Showhouse Project I designed for Aspire Magazine, sponsored by the Junior League. This room is a tribute to Mary and Carter Dalton, who built this historic home in 1914 in my hometown of High Point, NC.
I wanted to create a dynamic space that balanced feminine and masculine elements to create a comfortable yet stylish living room, perfect for entertaining friends and family or spending cozy winter evenings at home by the fire. I’m a fan of blush, and I especially love mixing it with darker, more masculine colors like charcoal gray or black. I incorporated various patterns that mix rose and gray and featured my new furniture collection for Fairfield, and Rug and lighting for KAS and Crystorama was the jumping-off point for furnishing this space. I combined all my products with fabulous fabrics, cool color combos, lots of texture, and fresh finishes to create a chic living room that suits both the man and the lady of the house. Showhouses are a license to have fun and take bold risks with interior design schemes, and painting the ceiling a high gloss blush finish did just that!
