This was a fun project because the clients had lived in an existing apartment that they loved for a long time, but they desperately needed more space for their growing family so when the apartment directly above them went on the market for sale they jumped at it!  They broke through the ceiling (no small feat in a NYC apartment building) and we got to designing their new two story apartment.  They needed the main living room to serve more than one purpose, a dining room, a lounge space, a place to entertain families and a spot for the kids playdates and toys and they also wanted to keep the areas by the windows open because they love the view.  The result is a stylish apartment with multifunctional spaces that this young family can continue to grow into!
