This New York City pied-à-terre underwent a complete gut renovation, delivering a stunning “before and after” transformation. The clients wanted a stylish, modern apartment that could double as a comfortable retreat and a space perfect for entertaining, complete with two outdoor terraces. The renovation included a sleek glass-paneled staircase, bleached white oak flooring, a custom white lacquer kitchen and bar, three newly designed bathrooms, and updated glass panels for the greenhouse-style windows to meet NYC code. We also upgraded all window shades to motorized mechanisms to manage the abundant sunlight.

The interior design aesthetic is modern, minimal, and comfortable, featuring rich gray, slate blue, and crisp white tones accented with nickel hardware and a diverse mix of artwork throughout the living areas. Custom white lacquer millwork in the office, which doubles as a guestroom, incorporates open shelves mounted on dark gray slate stone to maximize depth and dimension in the smaller space. The primary bedroom offers a serene retreat with soft creams, layered textures, and light wood furniture finishes.
