This Long Island Retreat has become the perfect residence for Libby and her many guests

"What I knew I needed to create in the house were several different conversation areas, and always, no matter where you're sitting, there's a place to put your drink down."

The house had to have a fabulous dining room. "For me, that is just where you make the best memories". And the color is perfect for eating. "I've found as a designer that people love to eat in red rooms."

Another big bonus of this home is that Langdon can enjoy all of the seasons. "...When the leaves change, because the house is up above the treetops, it is absolutely spectacular. And then, in the dead of winter, I also love it, because it can be absolutely freezing outside, but up on that top floor, it's just flooded with the most beautiful sunlight."

"I think part of why I'm enjoying design so much now, whether I do it on a TV show or for a private client, is I know how wonderful I feel when I walk into my own home, and it can really change my mood. I love it when I do a job for someone else and they walk in and you can see that there's a real change in their disposition, and that just makes me feel like a million bucks."

Is there anything about her home Libby would change? "No, there's not. And I'm so happy I'm saying that. I genuinely can't think of one thing I would change. That house just fits me like a glove."
